The new town mayor, Mr. Samuel Martin, has assumed the duties of his office.

A few improvements have been made during the past week to the residence of Capt. Frank Outten.

David Dickerson has been re-appointed policeman, street supervisor and lamplighter, at a salary of $256 per year.

As soon as the weather permits the survey for the proposed extension of the Queen Anne’s Railroad, from Hobbs, in Caroline County, to a point opposite Chincoteague Island, will be commenced. The extension is expected to be completed within a year.
